LOVE AGAIN

In 2025 Loyal Royal funds will help us to:

Run a series of FREE ENTRY live music events in the Garden Bar, every weekend, from now until the end of March.
Purchase a brand new cinema screen - this will be an electronic screen that moves up and down and can be retracted to create a bigger stage area, revealing the original, old stone wall of the band room.
Create a new entry from the Green Room to the stage - this will make our stage far more accessible for disabled artists and avoid the old staircase entry and exits.
Re-design our website - a project we have been wanting to do for a long time, in order to make our site more visitor friendly and give people a snapshot of ‘what’s on’ each day of the week. The lovely folk at Green Graphics are building this for us, in collaboration with our local designer, Vincent Casey
Replace some of the old sound system - a never-ending project, keeping our vintage gear up-to-date! With the addition of more touring artists with huge technical riders, we need to purchase new amps and lighting to fulfil the needs of larger touring parties. We are lucky to have our production team – Mark Woods and Jim Austin, are our guiding experts in the industry.

That’s just the start of what is in store for next year! We look forward to sharing many nights with you – watching films, bands and gathering together on Dja Dja Wurrung country.

So far, Loyal Royal Membership has helped TR to:

Install 150 new art deco cinema seats upstairs
Present a Summer Series of free events outside in the beer garden, with a diverse program of free DJs and live bands - starting again this November!
Upgrade some of the ancient outdoor guttering and pipes, fix the collapsed ceiling area behind the stage and clean up the currently decommissioned area behind the mezzanine upstairs (still in progress)
Host more special events and community fundraisers than ever before, including raising money for Castlemaine Fringe Festival and Nalderun Education Aboriginal Corporation, Central Vic Climate Action and many more worthy causes
Support local emerging musicians by hosting the annual Castlemaine Battle of the Bands
Hold regular Pride events to support the LGBTIQA+ community
Host film festivals such as the Indigenous Film Festival, Coscars (celebrating young, local film-makers) and Melbourne International Film Festival (plus offer discounted tickets to Loyal Royals for all screenings and Q&A sessions!)
